Indistinct nose. Then lemon flavors giving way to tartness and strong acidity and a little too much alcohol taste on the tongue. I guess this is what trying to stretch a $10 per week alcohol budget gets you...

shaunmdaniel Yeah, I can believe that. But you know what? I just went back to it this evening and it tastes much better after sitting in the fridge for four days. Now I get a strong pineapple flavor and less alcohol taste. Maybe it just needs to breathe more to make it more palatable - at least as palatable as this bran can be.

Grassy, floral nose with a grassy, mineral first taste, followed by a rounded chardonnay-like mellow body of light citrus and pear notes. And it lives up to its promotion as an enjoyable budget wine.

shaunmdaniel True. But it's actually better than expected. Somehow this calls to mind a great book I read several years ago, called "The Accidental Connoisseur" about a guy who discovers that great wine doesn't have to be expensive and that much of the wine world is just pretense. His basic message: explore, find things you enjoy, celebrate life.

I've had this wine a few times now and it's always a great, refreshing apertif. Crisp, floral notes, flavors of green apple, pear and minerals, and slight spritz feel on the tongue.
